Coach Christen's greenlings have been improving weekly and should be in top shape for Friday's contest. con-test. Mentor Christensen will probably prob-ably start the same eleven that played in the Spanish Fork contest, con-test, with Jensen and Bird, ends; L. Taylor and A. Fullmer, tackles; Haymond and Jenkins, guard; Clyde, center; Clements, quarterback; quarter-back; Miller, and Cranmer, halfbacks, half-backs, and Captain Owen Fullmer, fullback. Devils Lose To Spanish . . . The Red Devils dropped their first league game to Spanish Fork last Friday afternoon, 6-0, on the Spanish Fork gridiron after both clubs had waged a torrid battle. Both teams played on even terms throughout the greater part of the contest. Spanish Fork scored their only touchdown after Springville had been forced back to their own 12-yard line as a result of penalties penal-ties In the opening of the third quarter. Miller attempted to kick out of danger when the ball bounced on the back of his own quarterback without any gain and Spanish Fork took over from the Devil's own eleven-yard line from whence they gathered up six points on a pass from Nelson to McGarry in the end zone. The line-plunge for the extra point was stopped cold by the Red Devil line. For Springville, Ray Miller in the backfield duties and Hal Clyde on the line, looked best for the Red Devils. Nelson, for Spanish Fork in the backfield, looked good for Spanish Fork. Other region scores for last Friday: Fri-day: Payson 20, Lehi 7, Lincoln 7, B. Y.
