Show Young Couple United in Marriage At Home Wedding Saturday Night IDAHO VISITOR HONORED AT SIAPLETOX PARTY Mrs. Mabel Hansen entertained Thursday in. honor of Mrs. A. M. Rudolph of Burley, Idaho. An elaborate dinner was served serv-ed from one long table centered with sweet pea3, with covers being laid for the following guests: Berniece Johnson of Spanish Fork, Mrs. Madge Thorn, Mrs. Hannah Callister, Mrs. Leona Swasey, Mrs. Teressa Burgi, and Mrs. Melba Perry. A discussion of old times and other social conversation featured the entertainment. NELSONS HONORED AT BIRTHDAY PARTY Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Nelson were guests- of honor at a turkey birthday dinner this week. The dining tables were beautifully beauti-fully decorated with sweet peas and ferns. The evening was spent socially, playing games and conversing. con-versing. Among the out-of-town guests attending the affair were Mr. and Mrs. Jim Mendeles, Mr. and Mrs. Royal Larsen, Mrs. Faye Chipman, all of Magna; Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Shepherd, Thistle; Mr: and Mrs. Benjamin Evans, Spanish Fork; Mrs. Lena Peterson, Garfield; Mr. and Mrs. Clay Fullmer and Mrs.' Charles Reid of Wallsburg, and Mr. and Mrs. Brereton of Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Nelson received many beautiful gifts. r i BRIDE HONORED AT I PARTY FRIDAY NIGHT Miss Leona Draper of Genola, who is to be married this week, was guest of honor at a party held at the home of her sister, Mrs. Reed Hales, Friday night. Luncheon was served early in the evening, with special novel Easter -eggs as favors marking places for twenty-one guests. Cards were the diversion of the evening, with high score for the men going to Frank Sorenson and high score for the ladies to Teressa Ter-essa Sorenson. NEW R. S. MEMBERS TO BE HONORED All new members of the First ward Relief society will be honored honor-ed Tuesday afternoon at the regular regu-lar meeting. Special activity will be given with the lesson and a very good program has been arranged. All members of the ward organization or-ganization are invited to be present. pres-ent. ALPHA BETA CLUB TO MEET FRIDAY Members of the Alpha Beta club will meet Friday afternoon at 3 p. m. at the home of Mrs. Kenneth Condie. Glen Turner will speak on :"What to Look for in Art." All members are requested to be present. t An outstanding social event this week in Springville was1 the marriage of Miss Ruth Olsen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Olsen, to Arnold C. Roylance, son of Mr. and Mrs. Austin Roylance. The wedding took place Saturday Satur-day night at the couple's newly built home, 17 5 North Second East, Springville, in the presence of immediate family members. Bishop H. A. Wright of Rexburg, Idaho, an uncle of the bridegroom, officiated. The bride was attired in a .light rust silk sports dress with browu accessories. Refreshments were served to the guests. The bride has been employed in the county auditor's office for the past four years. She is a graduate gra-duate of the L. D. S. Business college and attended the Brighaiu Young university for a short time. Mr. Roylance has served two terms as Utah county attorney. A graduate of Brigham Young university, uni-versity, he received his L.L.B. from the University of Utah. He is a member of the Springville Junior Chamber of Commerce. HAFEX-DALLIN ART CLUB HEARS THREE-ACT PLAY Miss Venice Whiting entertained entertain-ed members of the Hafen-Dallfu Art club with the reading of a three-act play in the high school Art building Thursday night. President Beulah Whiting had the program in charge. |
