Show Ernest Oakley, his daughter Lucille Lu-cille and Wilna Brown left Tuesday Tues-day evening for San Francisco, where they will join Mrs. Oakley and spend a few days' vacation. Mr. and Mrs. Lamar Roylance and children of Colorado Springs, Colo., have returned to their home following a few days' visit here. Mrs. A. O. Packard has returned to her home following a delightful two weeks' visit with her daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Alton Harker and family at Baker, Ore. They also visited places of interest at LeGrande and Portland. Mr. Harker is division supervisor of railroad construction and employed with the Morrison-Knudsen Morrison-Knudsen Construction company, his work taking him over a large district. Frank Gunnell of Los Angeles, Calif., son of Mrs. Charles Con-over, Con-over, is vacationing with relatives in Springville this week. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Olsen, former for-mer residents of Springville, came from Salt Lake Sunday to visit friends here. 4 Mrs. Ernest Oakley left Thursday Thurs-day for San Francisco, Calif., where she will visit her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Richard Oakley. He is in the Navy, stationed near San Francisco. Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Swartsfa-ger Swartsfa-ger (Nell Clark) of Oakland, Cal., have returned to their home following fol-lowing a few days' visit with relatives rel-atives and friends here. Mrs. Floyd Brizendine and her granddaughter Betty of Denver, Colo., visited the past week with her sister, Mrs. Rufus Averett and family. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Na-gle Na-gle of Parker, Ida., and Mr. and Mrs. Clark Nagle of Salt Lake city were also guests during the week at the Averett home. Mr. and Mrs. Kay Mendenhall left recently for Laredo, Texas, where Mr. Mendenhall is stationed with the C. A. P. Mrs. Joseph Olsen, the former Louise Childs, and baby recently moved here from Salt Lake City to reside for the present. Floyd Kelly of Pueblo, Colo., a former resident of Springville, accompanied ac-companied by his wife and son George have spent their vacation here visiting his mother, Mrs. Daisy Kelly, and other relatives and friends. ... Mr. and Mrs. Roy Sessions, Mrs. Mary E. Sessions and Bertha Sessions, Ses-sions, all of Salt Lake City, were guests Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Selvoy J. Boyer. Mr. and Mrs. John Miller and two children have returned from an enjoyable trip to Fish 'Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Bird and daughter, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Will Erdmann, all of Mid-vale, Mid-vale, visited relatives and friends in Springville on Sunday. Mrs. Russell Snelson and son are visiting Corp. Snelson, now stationed at Camp Adair, Ore. |
