Show GROWERS CALL FOR HELP ON CHERRY HARVEST The cherry crop on Springville east bench and in the Mapleton area, is in danger of loss if more help in harvesting is not obtained within the next few days, it was announced today by Paul C. Miner, Min-er, secretary of the Chamber of Commerce. He is urging that men, women and children turn out and help harvest the crop, stating that if only a few hours' time can be given, giv-en, it will be much appreciated. It was further pointed out that it is the patriotic duty of everyone who can, to assist with the harvesting of crops and to see that no food is wasted because of lack of help in harvesting. Workmen may register at the Chamber office or may contact growers and transportation for groups to and from the orchards will be furnished. Cherries, this season, are reported report-ed slightly below normal in production produc-tion but are of the finest quality. A large percent is being shipped while others are being sold locally. |
