Show FORMER CITIZEN OF THIS CITY DIES IN PROVO Funeral services for Seth Rowland, Row-land, 50, well known construction foreman of this area, who died Saturday Sat-urday night at a local hospital from complications following a ruptured appendix, were conducted conduct-ed Tuesday at 1:30 in the Provo Sixth ward chapel. He was born December 28, 1892, at Springville, a son of George and Amy Naylor Rowland. He was educated in the Springville schools and followed construction many years. He was construction foreman fore-man for the UPM at the time of his death. He was a veteran of the first World war, attaining the rank of sergeant. He was a member of the Provo American Legion post. Mr. Rowland married Leah Lovelace Love-lace on May 6, 1930, at Evanston, Wyo. Surviving are his widow, a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Austin of Provo, and 11 brothers and sisters, sis-ters, Mrs. Eliza Russell, Mrs. Ida Weight, Ted, Fannie, Louisa, Hannah and Grace Powland of Springville; John S. Rowland of Salt Lake City, and Mrs. T. A. Warhhen of R,oosevelt. Burial was in the Provo city cemetery. |
