Show Alpha Beta to Sponsor Open Session for Federated Clubs i AVE DELMA CLUB ENTERTAINED Mrs. Inez Chader was hostess to members of the Ave Delma club at her home Thursday evening. Luncheon was served at 8 o'clock o'-clock after which bridge was played with prizes going to Dollie Smith, Carrie Jolley, and Coe Straw. New officers were also elected during the evening as follows: President, Norma Noe; Secretary-treasurer, Secretary-treasurer, Birdie Thorpe: Helen Robbins, reporter. Besides the regular members the following guests were present: Vivian Johnson, Marie Whiting, Ina Christensen, and Ann Johnson. HALLOWE'EN THEME MARKS BRIDGE-LUNCHEON Decorations according to a Hallowe'en motif were employed at a Fidelity bridge party held Thursday evening at the home of Mrs. Fay Cranmer. For the games, first prize was won by Mrs. Floss Cate, second prize by Ann Johnson, and third by Flora Maiben. Berniece Cranmer was a special guest, and the following members were present: Mrs. Marie Clegg, Mrs. Delia Dallin, Mrs. Floss Cate, Mrs. Ann Johnson, Mrs. Olive Miller, Mrs. Flora Maiben, Mrs. Rose Roylance, Mrs. Marie Morgan, Mor-gan, and the hostess. MRS. ND3DSON AGAIN MANAGING VALLEY TAVERN Mrs. Gladys Nielson, owner of the Valley Tavern hotel, and well known to Springville society as hostess for club parties, private dinners, and socials, is once again managing the Valley Tavern. For the past six months Mrs. Nielson has been living in Salt Lake City. Of interest to club women of Springville is the invitation issued this week by the Alpha Beta club to members of all federated clubs in Springville to attend an open session Friday, November 1, in the Fourth ward Relief society hall, beginning at 3 p. m. Appearing on the program will be Mrs. W. S. McQuilkin, chairman chair-man of the State Department of International Relations, and Mrs. Burton W. Musser, United States delegate to the Lima conference in Peru last year. Mrs, M. R. Straw is chairman of the social event. CULTURAL ARTS CLUB ENTERTAINED Members of the Cultural Arts club were entertained Wednesday at the home of Mrs. Elzina Laney. Elaine Crandall gave a paper on the lives and accomplishments of Wendell L. Willkie and Franklin Frank-lin D. Roosevelt. I Luncheon was served in conclusion con-clusion to the following members: Margaret Peirce, Margaret Christensen, Chris-tensen, Mary Fillmore, LaRee Alleman, Ida Packard, Aileen Mc-Kenzie, Mc-Kenzie, Coe Straw, Theora Peterson, Peter-son, Cora Ellis, Clara Harmer Lois Thorn, Elaine Crandall, Zelma Thorpe, Naomi Peirce, and the hostess. FRIENDS ATTEND FALL HAYRIDE One of the novel parties in Springville society this week was an autumn moonlight hayride held Friday evening. The couples took a basket lunch and enjoyed group singing as part of the entertainment.
