Show I p. Larsen to Be Honored It Tea Sunday Afternoon 1 1 9. T. CLUB I KXTERTAINED ! Mrs. Lois Clegg was hostess to members of the S. T. Club Thursday Thurs-day evening at her home. Luncheon was served at 8 o'clock from small tables, after! which four games of contract bridge was played with high score prize going to Mrs. Harry Pennington. Penn-ington. Attending were eleven club members and Mrs. Phllda FInley a special guest. LEGION AUXILIARY TO SPONSOR CARD PARTY Under the direction of President Ada Barron with Mrs. Flora Mai-ben Mai-ben acting as general chairman, a public card party is being arranged ar-ranged by the Legion Auxiliary for Saturday. Lunch will be served at 2 1 o'clock, and tables for contract and auction bridge and 500 will be arranged. Approximately 140 guests are expected to attend. Reservations may be made with auxiliary members. mem-bers. PARTY HONORS ELAINE NIELSON Miss Elaine Nielson, who left this week for Tucson, Arizona, was guest of honor at a party held at the Nielson home one day last week. Games were played and the group spent the remainder of the evening socially conversing. Refreshments were served to the following: Virginia Bird, Lucille Lu-cille Jensen, Ruth Crandall, Hazel Bray, Elsie Sumsion, Edna Nielson, Niel-son, and the guest of honor. MISS WHITNEY ENTERTAINS AT DINNER PARTY Miss LeJeune Whitney, who plans to leave soon to attend business busi-ness college, entertained at a dinner din-ner party Thursday evening at her home. TXEW MOTIF FOR MIHXADA CLUB PARTY delightful evening was spent Dv'mcmbers of the Paranada club jionday evening at the home of Virginia SimWns. Dinner was served at one long table centered with orange marigolds mari-golds and chrysanthemums, with orange tapers in crystal candelabra candel-abra at either end. Orange favors with caps for each person were on He table, and clever Hallowe'en name cards marked places for the following: Edna Oakley, Mary Dover, Teddy Thorpe, Tonle Fox, Lois Hales, Markaret Keller, Beth Johnson, Lillian Hollingshead, Fern Ostler, Marie Roach, and the hostess. Later In the evening Keeno and Professor Quiz were played, with prizes going to Lillian Hollings-bead Hollings-bead and Teddy Thorpe. MAPLETON LADIES ENJOY THEATRE PARTY Wives of Mapleton deer hunters hunt-ers held their annual theatre party Saturday evening and later went to the home of Mrs. Lillie Binks for a delicious pot-luck luncheon. Those present were Mrs. Jen Allen, Mrs. Iris Dibble, Mrs. Lillie Binks, Mrs. Marie Stone, Mrs. Grace Harmer, Mrs. Leona Swa-sey, Swa-sey, Mrs. Zora Hales, Mrs. Beth Jensen, Mrs. Iva Snow, and Mrs. Myrle Diamond. VOrXG BRIDE FETED AT ENTERTAINING PARTY The Misses Virginia and Gen-evleve Gen-evleve Bird were hostesses at a party Wednesday night at their home in honor of Mrs. Ross Weight, nee Nona Marchbanks. Entertainment included a retold re-told story by Beulah Whiting, and a diversified program of games. A delicious luncheon was served serv-ed to approximately twenty guests. IA'COLN SCHOOL SIXTH GRADE AT HOBO PARTY A Hobo party provided entertainment enter-tainment for members of the Sixth Crade at the Lincoln school Tuesday. Tues-day. The young hoboes went down lo the Hobo jungles along Hobble Creek. Victor Frandsen, teacher, save prizes for the best hoboes md the prizes were won by Ilene Twltchell and Buddy Watts. Supper was carried on a handkerchief hand-kerchief on a stick and cooked rer bonfires. Later such games as baseball, three deep, pomp-Pomp-puliaway, and spats and 'Purs provided hilarious entertainment. |
