Show P. H. MULCHAY SPEAKS TO KIWANIANS In a non-political speech on "Taxation" given at the regular weekly meeting of the Kiwanis club Thursday evening, P. H. Mulchay, vicepresident and general gen-eral manager of th Salt Lake and Utah Railroad, pointed out that taxes within the state of Utah have risen from $8,000,000 to $34,000,000 while the state of Utah has increased in population only slightly. Mr. Mulchay further stated that attitude towards government is changing and that instead of the government being the servant of the people those who hold political offices are becoming masters whom the people must obey. A. O. Packard, Springville Salt Lake and Utah Railroad agent, was toastmaster for the evening. |
