Show MANY CHILDREN ENTERTAINED HERE ON FOURTH Springville's July 4th celebration celebra-tion attracted a large group of youngsters during the forenoon, when a period of games and other sports were conducted on the City park and numerous prizes were awarded winners of the various events. The afternoon program, although attended by a comparatively small crowd, due perhaps to weather conditions, presented a number of fine musical selections in addition to an especially interesting and enlightening en-lightening address by Howard Salisbury. During the afternoon, a large group of young people were at the ball park to see the round robin games between Deacons' teams of the various wards. Camp Aaron Johnson also reported re-ported success with their stand at the City park, having made enough to finish paying their Memorial fund and they also purchased a bond, according to Captain Mary Hatch. |
