Show RAT BAIT GIVEN IN EFFORT TO CONTROL RODENTS A brief but thorough war against rate, which will take place in Utah county on December 9th to 16th, and feature the actual destruction of rates with poison baits, traps, and fumigants, is announced today by District Agricultural Inspector H. V. Swenson and County Agent S. R. Boswell. "The fact that rats move from place to place makes it a community commun-ity problem that can be handled most effectively by applying control con-trol methods at one time on all rat-infested premises," said Mr. Swenson. In order that property holders in residential sections and all farm properties may -destroy rats during dur-ing the brief campaign, arrangements arrange-ments have been made with the United States Fish and Wildlife service, which is cooperating with the extension service, state board of agriculture and community officials of-ficials in the work, to distribute freshly-mixed bait without cost to the citizens. The bait will be available to Springville people on Wednesday, December 10, from 10 a. m. to 4 p. m., at the city fire station. Mapleton people may get the bait on the same day, December 10, from 11 a. m. to 4 p. m., at the Mapleton town hall. The bait is free of charge. |
