Show MARINE CORPS RECRUITER IN SALT LAKE The first "noncom" of the U. S. Marine Corps Women's Reserve to visit Utah has arrived in Salt Lake City to interview applicants for enlistment in this branch of service.. ser-vice.. She is Sergeant Elizabeth L. Allen, Al-len, former Salt Laker and a member mem-ber of the first USMCWR class to graduate from Hunter College, New York City, where recruits in the reserve receive their basic training. Sergeant Allen, who gave up a lucrative position in industry to seek a wartime career in the Marines, Ma-rines, will be at Room 230, Federal Building, Salt Lake City, all of this week and the week of May 24. During the coming week she will be at Pocatello, Idaho. Women between 20 and 36 are eligible to enlist for general duty in the Women's Reserve, Sergeant Allen said. |
