Show APPROXIMATELY 300 MOTHERS WERE GUESTS of the Legion auxiliary at a tea at Memorial hall Saturday afternoon. The mothers included those of the Legion auxiliary members and those of men or women in the armed services, from both Springville Spring-ville and Mapleton. Mrs. Helen Crandall was general chairman of the entertainment and welcomed the group after being introduced in-troduced by Mrs. Mabel Brown, president. The afternoons program included includ-ed violin selections by Mrs. Phyllis S. Olsen, accompanied by Mrs. Maryn S. Johnson; vocal solos, Mrs. Geraldine Simmons, accompanied accom-panied by Mrs. Helen Thorpe, and readings by Mrs. Merle Schrein-er. Schrein-er. Mrs. Minnie Groesbeck gave a lovely tribute to mothers. At the conclusion of the program pro-gram refreshments were served from a beautifully decorated table. Mrs. Grace McKenzie and Mrs. Louisa Wainwright, only members of the unit with sons in the first World War, poured. Tulips, bridal wreath, and a profusion of other early summer blossoms, decorated the hall. |
