Show UTAH FRUITS LEAD IN QUALITY AND IN FLAVOR Apples, peaches, cherries, pears, apricots, and other intermountain fruits, again in 1940 took the spotlight for all-around qualities, deliciousness of flavor and susceptibility sus-ceptibility for table use and for canning purposes. Like celery in the truck garden marketing arena and Beehive state watermelons and cantaloupes, canta-loupes, Utah county peaches reigned supreme on markets where consumers demanded the very best. Superior quality of Utah county grown pears, apricots, and grap-es became more widely known as shipments extended farther afield. Because of the quality and deliciousness deli-ciousness of the intermountain fruits, canners placed more canned can-ned fruits on markets than ever before. A |
