Show Local SMen Vass 86th birthdays William G. Black and William H. Cranmer, Springville pioneers, have each passed their 86th milestone mile-stone today. Residents of Springville most of their lives, both men have taken tak-en an active part in the religious and civic development of the city. For many years, Mr. Black operated oper-ated a flour mill here and also at Richfield for a time. Mr. Cranmer worked in the timber during his earlier life and later farmed. Mr. Black married Lucretia Maxwell in 1878. She died in August, Au-gust, 1926, and he later married Mrs. Florence Barron. The couple reside at 490 East Center street. Mr. Cranmer married Mrs. Amanda Barlow Rodgers and she died about 19 years ago. He has since made his home with a sister, Mrs. Annie Sumsion. MRS. GALE LOFTIN GAVE A PARTY for her little daughter, Patsy Ann, in celebration of her eighth birthday. birth-day. The group enjoyed a program of games, concluding with tasty refreshments. Seventeen little friends attended. MR. AND MRS. ELMER BIRD ENTERTAINED AT DINNER at their home in Mapleton Sunday. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. Earl Mower of Camp Carson, Colo., Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Meldrum and three sons of Provo, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Noack of Murray. |
