Show TITLE G AME TO BE PLAYED HERE SATURDAY Football followers throughout the state will journey to Springville Spring-ville Saturday to see the Utah State high school six-man football championship game here between B. Y. high school of Provo and the Vernal high school. Game time is set for 10 a. m., so that it will not interfere with the B. Y. U.Denver U.-Denver homecoming game at Provo in the afternoon. This championship game will be the first six-man football battle ever to be played on the Springville Spring-ville field. The six-man football game, which is an outgrowth of the regular reg-ular eleven-man game, is relatively relative-ly new in the state, with most of the smaller high schools adopting adopt-ing it instead of the regular football foot-ball game. The game provides thrills aplenty for the spectators with its wide open style of ball. B. Y. high school and Vernal have won the right to play for the state title through winning in their respective, leagues and a close and thrilling battle is anticipated antici-pated here. There will be no admission to the game and the public is invited to see the championship contest. |
