Wardle of Soring J f I Springville Man Joins Explorers Club in Hew York The Explorers Club of New York City a world-wide organization ot explorers and' contributors to the field of science has announced the election of Byron R. Wardle of Springville as an Active Resident member. , . While serving the Department of State in the Middle East in 1949 and 1950, Mr. Wardle made explorations ex-plorations into remote regions of southern Arabia and British So-maliland So-maliland (East Africa) to report social and economic conditions Now serving as asistant to the president of the American Foun, dation for the Study of Man, Inc., Mr Wardle is continuing his interest in-terest through assitance m archaeological arch-aeological activities of this research re-search group. The major aim of the famed Explorers Club is to encourage scientific research and to provide opportunities for explorers and other men of science to meet and exchange experiences in order that their work might be judged by those of common interests.
