Show 'Springville Camp DUP Holds Meet An interesting program featured featur-ed the meeting of Camp Springville Spring-ville DUP at the home of Mrs. Lela Sumsion on Thursday afternoon. after-noon. Captain Lura Patrick was in charge of the meeting and exhibited ex-hibited the book, "The Way West," by A. B. Gutherie, Jr., for camp approval to be given to the public library in memory of Mrs. Mary J. Finley. The invocation was offered by Mrs. Jane Wagner, followed by community singing. Miss Cora Gardner entertained with accord-ian accord-ian numbers as did Robert Curtis. An interesting part on the pro-garm pro-garm was the history of the old White Meeting House written by the late Mrs. Mary J. Finley and read by Mrs. Belle W. Childs, who exhibited a fine picture of the pioneer landmark. The lesson on, "Rachel Emma Wooley Simmon's Dairy", was presented in interesting interest-ing manner by Mrs. Dorothy Wheeler. At the close of the meeting, refreshments re-freshments were served to thirty members and one guest. Hostesses for the occasion included in addition addi-tion to Mrs. Sumsion, Mrs. Nell Condie, Mrs. Jane Wagner, Mrs. Retta Sumsion, and Mrs. Emma Brown. |
