K r u0 , - -- - - Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Woods, nee Claudette Hill Church Wedding, Reception, Honors New Mr. and Mrs. William R. Woods Receiving congratulations from their many friends and relatives rela-tives are popular newlyweds Mr. and Mrs. William R. Woods. They were married in the Third-Ninth ward church on Friday evening of last week with Bishop Glen Christensen performing the ceremony. Following the marriage a wedding reception was given in their honor by parents of the bride. The new Mrs. Woods was formerly for-merly Miss Claudette Hill, charming charm-ing daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Hill of this city. Her husband hus-band is from West Virginia, a son of Claude Woods. Attired in a gown of satin and net tulle with lace inserts, Claudette Claud-ette and her husband made a beautiful picture as they stood in the flower banked rotunda of the church to receive their guests. Her veil was arranged to a bonnet trimmed with seed pearls and tiny ruffles and she held a pretty bridal bouquet of pink roses and stepa-hnotis stepa-hnotis centered with an orchid. . Acting as matron of honor for her sister was Barbara Lee, gowned in pale pink. Colleen Peterson, Pet-erson, Beulah Rae ' Webb, Marian Hulce, Janell Veater and Sherry Veater were bridesmaids and chose pastel colored formals. Each carried car-ried a nosegay of matching colored background music on the organ. In the gift room were Mrs. Mart Merritt and Mrs. Glenn Webb and serving refreshments were Diane Vincent, Noma Jean Holt,. Ardith Giles, Val Greaves, Nancy Kay Perham and Glenda Lee. A pretty 3-tiered wedding cake decorated with pink and blue roses and tiny sprays of green formed a part of the decorative theme. C. Lynn Hanks was master of ceremonies at the program announcing an-nouncing the following numbers: vocal solo, Mrs. Orvil Clark; piano numbers, Karen Ottesen; readings, ' Joan Marsh; vocal solos, Dr. G. B. Orton; trombone selections, Francis Fran-cis Rowe; violin duets, Ann Johnson John-son and Betty Hoover; vocal solos, Harold Swenson. Mrs. Maurice Bird was acompanist. For her honeymoon trip to the , west coast, the bride wore a white suit with navy accesosries. Upon their return they plan to make their home in Springville. nowers. Others in the receiving line were parents of the bride also Mr. and Mrs. Harold Peterson of Provo with whom the groom has been making his home. Mrs. Hill and Mrs. Peterson both chose blue gowns for the reception with corsages cor-sages in contrasting colors. Kent Kirby was best man to the groom.
