Show Win. Bringhurst Dies Suddenly; Funeral Satisrday Funeral services will be conducted conduc-ted Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Third-Ninth ward chapel, for "William "Wil-liam Bringhurst, 65, life long resident resi-dent of Springville, who died unexpectedly un-expectedly Wednesday at 11 a.m., at the family residence, 208 West Center St. ' Friends may call at the family residence Friday evening and Saturday before services. Burial will be in the Evergreen cemetery, ceme-tery, under direction of Claudin Funeral Home. Mr. Bringhurst was born in Springville, March 14, 1888, a son of J. Frank and Mahala Crandall Bringhurst. He attended schools in this city and at the BYU. From 1909 to 1911, he filled an LDS mission in the Eastern States. For a number of years, he was associated with the Bird-Jex advertising ad-vertising firm. He was Springville City recorder for 10 years and worked for the state five years. He was a counselor in the Third ward bishopric with Bishop Ralph Smart and had served in other capacities in his ward. He was the first tithing clerk in Springville. He has always been an ardent sportsman, affiliated ' with the Springville Wildlife Federation. He married Bella Bird, June 5, 1912 in the Salt Lake Temple. Survivors include his wife and eight sons and daughters. H. Frank Bringhurst, Lay ton; Mrs. Victor (Frances) Sabin, Salem; Mrs. Paul (Afton) Smith, Beaver; Mrs. Ralph (Betty) Haws, Lehi; Robert, Ro-bert, Wells, Dale and Mart Bringhurst Bring-hurst of Springville. Two sons have passed away. There are also al-so 29 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Ernest A. (Norma) Strong; Mrs. Sherman (Florence) Nielson, Springville; a brother, Joseph C. Bringhurst of Oceanside, Calif. |
