It was the first visit home for Rodney in three years. many, and from there went to Holland. Hol-land. Here they took a boat to New York. From New York they went by plane to Lansing:, Mich., where they were met by Mr. Stebbins' Steb-bins' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Stebbins of Springville, who made the trip to Lansing- by plane. It was the first time the Stebbins had seen their little new year-and-a-half old granddaughter, their only one. In Lansing, Rodney purchased pur-chased a new Oldsmobile and en-route en-route home the Stebbins stopped at numerous points of interest including in-cluding the Corn Palace and Rush-more Rush-more monument in South Dakota. They also visited relatives in Wisconsin. Wis-consin. Rodney and his wife, after visiting in Springville two weeks, went on to California to visit relatives rel-atives and then to Arizona, to see Iound- 'n-s$bout 'ZJown . . . Dr. and Mrs. Milton Hales and children Susan, Peter and Martha of Pasadena, Calif., spent last week in Springville visiting Milton's grandmother, Mrs. H. T. Reynolds Sr., and other relatives and friends in Springville and Spanish Fork. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine J. Kelsey and two children Bill and Patricia of Los Angeles, Calif., are spending spend-ing a week with Blaine's mother Mrs. Wm. H. Kelsey and his sister Effie Kelsey in Springville. Mrs. Harold Cliristensen returned return-ed recently from Idaho Falls, Ida., where she visited her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John T. Barrett (Connie Christensen) and was on hand to greet her little new grandson. She spent two weeks with the Barretts. t Harold Hopla, son of Mrs. Mabel Hopla, Mapleton, has been given his release from the service in whieh he has served two years with one year of the time spent in Korea. He expressed his appreciation apprecia-tion for the home town newspa-. per stating that it took about 7 days for it to reach him in Korea. Mr. and Mrs. Vert Weight and two daughters of Yuba City, Calif., are spending a two weeks vacation with relatives and friends in this city and in Salt Lake City. They came especially for the Weight reunion re-union held last Saturday. Will Bramall and his daughter, Mrs. Morgan Hamilton came from Delta, Colo., to attend the wedding of their granddaughter and niece, Shirley Bramall and Ronald Graves last Wednesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Merle Paulk have had as their guests recently Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Nelson and son from Norfolk, Nebr. Mr. and Mrs. George Frey had as their guests the past week, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Hershner and three daughters of Phoenix, Ariz. Mrs. Hershner is a sister of Mrs. Frey. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Boyer viist-ed viist-ed recently in Yellowstone Park with their daughter Ruth Ann, who has been employed at the Lake Hotel this summer. The Boyers also went to South Dakota, visited the Mt. Rushmore monument in the Black Hills and the Cave of the Winds in the national park and came home by way of Denver and the Rockey Mountain park. Mr. and Mrs. Alton Hayes, here from Wilmington. Del., for the wedding of their daughter Betty, were house guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Whiting in Springville two days of the past week. Richard Beck, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Beck, was recently transferred from Camp Roberts, Calif., to Camp Stoneman and then shipped overseas with Korea his destination. He has been training at Fort Lewis, Wash. ' Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Stebbins and little daughter, Mickey, arrived ar-rived in Springville recently on a two months vacation from Saudi, Aarabia.
