They will leave for their new location "about : July 2o. i j Howard MeKen.ie, an instructor instruc-tor at Crane College, Evanston, 111., visited in Springville early this week with his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Earl McKenzie and family. He also spent some time with a sister, Aileen McKenzie in Salt Lake City and planned to continue on his vacation to California. Mr. anil Mrs. Harrison Conover and daughter Mary Connie and a niece, Ann Reynolds, of Salt Lake City; also Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Wilcox and daughter Carla and her friend, Roberta (Bobbie) Ken-ner Ken-ner of Carlsbad, N.M., who has been a house guest at the Wilcox residence the past week, and Grant Kapp spent the weekend at Grand Canyon. They visited the Conover's son Martin and the Wilcox's Wil-cox's son Jimmy and were all on hand to help Jimmy celebrate his birthday Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Lloyd entertained en-tertained about 38 guests at a lawn party at their home last week for a group of friends who had formerly lived in Washington D.C. Games were played and a luncheon served to the group. Federal Judge and Mrs.' Arthur J. Mellott, Kansas City, spent a day last week visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Franks .at their home in Brookside. It was their first visit together in eleven years. Judge Mellott and his wife were enroute to California and planned to tour Bryce and Zions Canyons on the way. Back In town after living in Arizona for the past two years are Mr. and Mrs. Marion Ollerton and family. Mr. Ollerton was a counselor in the First ward bishopric bish-opric prior to their leaving here. Mr. and Mrs. Pete Block and daughter Linda of KawKawlin, Mich., have arrived in Springville for a two weeks visit with Mr. and Mrs. Bill Straw and family. Mrs. Block and Mrs. Straw are sisters. Saturday dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Hunter Hun-ter were her sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Walt Tracy of San Diego, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Crandall returned recently from a vacation spent in Sun Valley. They also visited in Idaho with relatives and friends. 4 |
