Red Cross Names New Chapter Mgr. Judge Monroe G. Paxman, chairman of Utah County Red Cross board announces the appointment ap-pointment of Elmer Sims, Provo, as chapter manager. A native of Lehi, Mr. Sims has spent the past three years in newspaper advertising at the SpringviUe Herald and Provo Herald. Her-ald. He attended the Brigham Young University and University of Utah. The American Red Cross office 287 East First North, Provo, closed for rthe past few months, is now open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and for emergencies at any time, Mr. Sims states. All organizational branches of the Red Cross are expected to be functioning within a short time, including first aid, water safety, and nursing service. An appeal is being made to anyone wishing to do voluntary Red Cross work to contact their local branch chairman chair-man or phone Provo FR 3-8580.
