Show both were affiliated with Lambda Delta Sigma at college. Attending their wedding reception recep-tion were friends and relatives from Richfield, Manti, Fayette, Gunnison, Ephraim, Heber, Brig-ham Brig-ham City and Logan. Reception Thursday Evening Honors Newlyweds Mr., Mrs. Cecil Bown Newlyweds Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Bown were honored hon-ored at a lovely reception .on Thursday evening of last week in the Fourth Ward church with many which was followed by dancing. Music on a Hammond organ was furnished for the wedding march and bridal waltz. Spring colors of yellow and green were emphasized in refreshments refresh-ments and in decorations about the entertaining rooms. A 3-tier ed wedding cake in white green and yellow added to the decorative theme. The couple left Tuesday for Fort Lee, Va., where Mr. Bown will be stationed with the army as a commissioned com-missioned oficer. Both young people have been students at the USAC, where Mr. Bown received his degree. He has also completed an LDS mission with the Southwest Indians and Springville and out-of-town relatives rela-tives and friends attending. The bride, . formerly Miss Lorna Nielson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Nielson of this city, exchanged ex-changed vows with Cecil Brown in Manti LDS temple rites earlier in the day. The ceremony was performed per-formed by Temple President Lewis R. Anderson. Following the marriage, members mem-bers of the wedding party and close relatives were entertained at dinner at the home of the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elton Bown at Fayette. Covers were arranged for thirty seven guests. The bride chose for her wedding attire a pretty white lace and net gown over satin, hand made. Her finger-tip veil fell from a crown of orange blossoms and she carried car-ried a pretty bridal bouquet of tiny orchids centered with a large orchid. Attending as maid of honor were Miss Ann Patrick, with Loraine Southworth and Alice Erickson, bridesmaids and Patricia Brown and Carma Nielson, junior bridesmaids. brides-maids. The attendants were dressed dress-ed alike in varigated shades of green blending into yellow. Each held a tiny basket of flowers. Best man for his brother was Douglas Bown. Acting as host and hostess were Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Roylance. Emma Em-ma Boren and Virginia Miner were in charge of the guest book. In the gift room were Marilyn Clegg, Helen Ash, Joyce Sumsion and Joan Davis. The serving of refreshments was by Laura Nell Althouse, Sharon Lee Althouse, Marian Hulce, Norma Nor-ma Roylance and Gail Evans. Donald Olsen was master of ceremonies during the program, |
