Show Springville Woman Will Not Ask For Vote Recount Mrs. Mary Holdaway Pritchett of Springville, loser by a single vote in the race for the Democratic Democra-tic nomination in legislative District Dist-rict Four, said this week she will not ask for a recount. Instead, she pledged fullest support sup-port to her late rival, Arnold V. Bergeson of Provp, whose name will appear on the Democratic ticket on the November election. (Harrison Conover of this city will run for the same position on the Republican ticket). Mrs. Pritchett expressed thanks to her supporters in the Democratic Demo-cratic nomination race and asked them to support Mr. Bergeson in the final election. "Mr. Bergeson won fairly, even though the race was close. I will concede his nomination rather than risk disturbing harmony in the party", Mrs. Pritchett said. "However," said Mrs. Pritchett, "I do feel that women should be better represented in government, so perhaps in two years I will return re-turn with the same enthusiasm and determination in an effort to get more women in public office." |
