Show Sprmgville Man Appointed To County Committee J. A. Miller of this city has been appointed to serve on the Utah County's Employ the Physically Phy-sically Handicapped Committee of which Arthur D. Coleman of Provo is county chairman. Mr. Miller was named one of 18 representatives c-f industry, business, busi-ness, veteran's organizations, local committees, schools, churches and other organizations to function as a local unit of the Governor's committee com-mittee and the President's committee, commit-tee, in observing NEPH Week October Oc-tober 5-11. In announcing appointments to this committee, Mr. Coleman said, "About the worthiness of the program pro-gram to encourage the empl6yment of handicapped where ever pos-nible, pos-nible, there can be no question. The physically handicapped begin the game of life with one or two strikes against them. The rest of us, organized in a political community, com-munity, have a duty to see that they get a fighting chance to reach first base, or even to hit the ball out of the park. No society which claims to be Christian, could do less without betraying the example ex-ample of its Master." |
