Show 'Ruff Garage Is City Softball Leader In League Ruff Garage holds the lead in the city softball league with three conscutive wins and no losses to date. The leaders took an interesting interest-ing game from the Jaycees Tuesday Tues-day night 13-8. Ivan Peirce pitched a good game for the winners as did Nick Nichols for the Jaycees. Friday night's schedule will pit the VFW against the Jaycees. Tuesday, July 25, Brookside will play Ruff Garage in what should be a thriller since both teams apparently ap-parently are the strong teams of the league. Games start at 8 p.m. George Pehrson, city recreation director, announced that any fellows fel-lows who are not now playing on any team, should contact any of the following managers for possible poss-ible positions on any of the clubs:. Bill Ruff, Don Wiser, Piatt Watts or Don Watts. Citv League Standings . . . J W L Pet. Ruff Garage 3 0 1.000 Brookside Market 3 1 .775 VFW 1 2 -333 Jaycees 0 .000 |
