Show NO WHEAT QUOTES. Secretary of Agriculture Charles F. Brannan has announced that farmers would be allowed to grow next year's wheat crop free of rigid marketing quotas because the Federal Crop Reporting Board has forecast this year's crop at one fifth smaller than last year's. Mr. Brannan pointed out that present supplies, while large, were not big enough to warrant marketing controls. con-trols. He estimated the wheat supply sup-ply at 1,395,000,000 bushels, which is 18 percent above the "normal" supply but 2 per cent below the marketing quota level. |
