Show Air Patrol Cadets Take Instruction, Meeting Scheduled Civil Air Patrol Cadets of the Springville Squadron, met at the local Airport last Saturday, where they spent the day taking instruction instruc-tion in Aircraft maintenance, operation, op-eration, and navigation. Each Cadet was given an orientation orien-tation flight over the valley, and was given the opportunity to handle han-dle the controls of various types of Aircraft. Also instruction on Navigation and Map Reading. Cadets earn their Wings as Aerial Aer-ial Observers after twenty hours of flying time- This qualifies them to participate with Senior Pilots as aerial observers on search and rescue missions, and many other functions of Civil Air Patrol. First Lt. Verg Ceilings, Commander Com-mander of Cadets, and Meade H. Weight were the instructors who piloted the Aircraft, and the Cadets Ca-dets present were Dan Barton, Wayne Beesley, Richard Carter, Larry Chadwick, Robert Curtis, Grant Kapp, and Douglas Poulson. Cadets meet at Memoral Hall every Wednesday night at 7 p.m. An interesting program is scheduled sched-uled for January 28, and an invitation in-vitation is extended to anyone interested in-terested in Aviation or Civil Defense. |
