Show Springville Man Dies in Calif., Services Here Funeral services were conducted conduct-ed at the A. Y. Wheeler Mortuary last Monday, for L. W. Hicks, 82, long time resident of Springville, who died at the home of a daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Agnes R.asmussen in Va-lejo, Va-lejo, Calif., January 7. Burial was in the City Cemetery. Ceme-tery. He had been visiting his daughter daugh-ter in California for the past several sev-eral weeks and was ill only a short time-He time-He is survived by his widow, 642 East Seventh South and four sons and one daughter, William Hicks, Concord, Calif.; Lee Hicks, Jr., Harry Hicks and Mrs. Agnes Rasmussen of Vallejo, Calif; Jack Hicks of Butte, Mont. There are also 14 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Mr. Hicks was born in Tilson-burgh, Tilson-burgh, Canada, Feb. 29, 1870, a son of Artmus and Elizabeth Bowden Hicks. He married Elizabeth Eli-zabeth Ingram in Michigan and came to Utah, settling in Park City. They lived there until 1910. For the past 30 years, he had made his home in Springville. |
