Greeting guests at the door were Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Nelson and Mr. and Mrs. Kay Marrott and at the guest register were Blaine and Rea Williams.. Supervising the serving which was in the recreation hall at small tables centered with pink and white daisies were Bonnie and Harold Gividen. The serving table held a pretty 3-tiered wedding cake in pink and white topped with a miniature bride and groom. Arranging gifts throughout the evening were Mr. and ,Mrs. Bert Gividen and Mrs. Jay Beck. After a short honeymoon in California, Cal-ifornia, the young couple will be at honie in Springville. Church Ceremony Unites Mapleton Miss, Springville Man July 11th . One of the prettiest brides of the season was Mary Jo Gividen who was married at home ceremonies cere-monies Wednesday, July 11 to Jerry Jer-ry Dee Beck. The ceremony was performed by Bishop Stewart C. Whiting. Mary Jo is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vance Gividen of Mapleton and Jerry is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Beck of Springville. The marriage ceremony cere-mony was followed by a wedding reception in the Mapleton church where the bride and groom greeted their numerous friends and rela-1 fives. A profusion of fragrant sum-' mer flowers lent a festive air to the occasion. Mary Jo was radient in an adorable white linen lace coat dress with a crown of white ' flowers pinned to the back of her hair. Her bridal bouquet was fan shaped and was fashioned of two orchids circled by baby orchids. The bridal couple were attended by their parents. Mrs. Gividen wore an orchid afternoon dress while Mrs. Beck was in Beige. They each wore orchid corsages. Mrs. Georgene Price was matron of honor and the brides maids were: Barbara Hall, LaRue Whiting, Whit-ing, Patsy-Warren, Collette Miner and Aldeen Cazier, who were all pretty in pastel colored afternoon dresses. Young Lynette Nelson was the flower girl who was dainty in pink. Their corsages were white gardenias and carnations. Best man was Jay Beck, brother |
