Plans' for the conference were announced Tuesday at a special school of instruction for all 1 coun cil officers and chairmen in Region Two held at the Westside cshool with approximately 85 m atten-d3.nc atten-d3.nc Mrs. .Bonnie Anderson of Salt Lake field instructor from the PTA congress and Mrs. Ernest F. Roberge, state secretary, were , in attendance at the conference and gave instruction to officers and chairmen concerning the PTA program pro-gram and how it functions. Following a general session which began at 9:30 a.m. were departmental de-partmental meetings in which visiting vis-iting officials and local PTA officers of-ficers discussed various phases of PTA work. Mrs. Edith Stein of Provq, took up the PTA program; Mrs. Smoot of Provo, Safety;-Mrs. Herman Holt Provo, Health; Mrs. Mart Bringhurst, histories and scrap-books; scrap-books; Mrs. Orpha Dee Johnson, membership; Mrs. Irene Moon, adult education; Dr. Clifford Mof-fit Mof-fit Provo, juvenile protection; Yvonne Johnson, publicity and room representatives. Mrs. Max Huff conducted a skit, entitled, "Father's Night In," which was well received, with parts being taken by George Puckett, H. LaMar Weight and LuDean At noon, the group assembled at Bart's for lunch and re-assembled in the afternoon to see the film, "Teachers in Print," and Mrs. Stein also demonstrated how a model council meeting should be conducted. |
