Jay and his bride, the former Carol Friel, were married on Tuesday Tues-day in the Manti Temple and after the wedding rites, parents of the groom, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Harmer Har-mer of Payson, entertained at dinner din-ner at Manti, for members of the wedding party including twenty family members and close friends of the couple. An ornamental arrangement of yellow and white gladioli and chry-santhenums chry-santhenums in tall vases and an archway entwined with flowers and fern formed a background for the bridal party at the reception. Tht bride was lovely in a ballerina-length wedding gown of lace over satin designed with tight-fitting bodice, stand-up lace collar and long pointed lace sleeves. " ' ' ' j : v , 'f h j five-tiered undershirt of net underscored un-derscored with satin. Her fingertip finger-tip veil was arranged to a crown of seed-pearls and sequins and her bridal bouquet, all white, was centered cen-tered with a white orchid. Martha Hoelscher was maid of honor and Donna Jean C. Fullmer, Kay G. Call. Ilene H. Frandsen, Laura Lee M. Clayson, Joan M. Haymond and Susan Friel were bridesmaids. They were attired in turquoise blue ballerina-length gowns and carried nose-gay bouquets of yellow yel-low rose-buds and white feathered carnations. Terry Smith of Payson was best man to the groom. Others in the receiving line included in-cluded parents of the couple, Mrs. Friel wearing pink lace and Mrs. Harmer orchid lace. Their corsages were gardenias. Greeting guests at the entrance were: Mr. and Mrs. Almon Harmer Har-mer and Mr. and Mrs. Wilby Met-calf. Met-calf. At the guest register was Mrs. Lou Ann M. Olsen. Serving refreshments at small tables arranged about the spacious lawn and centered with floral motifs mo-tifs in yellow and blue, were sorority sor-ority sisters of the bride: Janet Shelton of American Fork; Dixie Halgren of Tooele; ReNee Chilton of American Fork; Kay Heinze of Clearfield and Diane Anderson of Mr. and Mrs. Jay Harmer, nee Miss Carol Friel Grantsville. A beautiful all-while wedding ; cake with square base and four 1 tiers held up by white pedestals i and swans and topped with white 1 1 wedding bells rested on a fringed 1 nylon cloth over pale pink. Groesbtck, Mrs. Kenneth Hales, Mrs. Frank Cran- I dall and Rhoda Groesbeck. Gift bearers were Mary Jane Friel, Ann Davis and Tommy Greener. Ushering the guests throughout the evening were: Dick Cahoon, Keith Hill, Dwain Patten and Kent Wilson of Payson and Harrison Conover. Furnishing background music t throughout the evening were: Mrs. 8 Maurice Bird, Mrs. Lewis Bird and u Mrs. Hyrum P. Jones of Spanish j Fork.
