Show Services Held In S. L C. for Mrs. J. R. Anderson i Funeral services were conducted in Salt Lake City Monday, for Mrs. Mary Camille Sorensen An-i An-i derson, 74, wife of Dr. John R. I Anderson, former Springville mayor, may-or, who died Thursday night, at her home 1636 Laird Ave., Salt Lake City, of a lingering illness. Burial was at the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, Salt Lake. Speakers at the services were Ernest A. Strong, Springville friend and neighbor of the family; fam-ily; Selvoy J. Boyer of Salt Lake, also a long-time friend of the family fam-ily in Springville. Music was furnished by Elmo Coffman and Helen Palfreyman LeeMaster, formerly of Springville. Spring-ville. Earl Hutchings, also a former for-mer resident of Springville, offered offer-ed benediction. Other numbers were from Salt Lake. Mrs. Anderson was born in Fairview, September 6, 1879, a daughter of early settlers Hans C. and Helen Vilate Hansen Soren-sen Soren-sen and she spent her early life in that community. She was married to John R. Anderson An-derson December 18, 1901, in the Manti Temple. They came to Springville in their early married life, later moving to Salt Lake. A member of the LDS church, Mrs. Anderson held a number of positions in the various auxiliary organizations in Springville having served many years as activity leader lea-der and Gleaner leader in the Second Sec-ond ward MIA. She was also active ac-tive in civic work and served as president of the Home Culture Club. She will be remembered here for the service she gave to the sick in connection with her husband's work.
