Show Scout Troop Launches Paper Subscription Drive to Earn New Scout Uniforms Within the next few days, one of the boys from the Guide Scouts of the Seventh ward, will call at the doors of the Springville townspeople (if they me uuuis uj. one opinigi haven't already) and ask them to subscribe to the Springville Herald. Her-ald. This subscription drive was initiated init-iated by the boys themselves with the aid of their teacher, Mrs. Olive Dunn, who thought up the plan to earn money with which to purchase pur-chase their scout uniforms. 1 To aid the boys in their project the Springville Herald is giving i them one third or $1 for each new $3 one-year subscription which they secure. The boys, all about 11 years old, are enthusiastic and hard workers and their first day out exhibited real salesmanship talent. They are not only acquiring a new experience ex-perience of meeting people but are earning their scout uniforms. With each new one-year subscription, so long as the supply lasts, a newly published Springville-Mapleton Directory Di-rectory will be given. If there are any questions regarding re-garding the drive please call Mrs. Dunn, Phone 55-W. |
