Show Funeral Services Saturday For Arthur W. Heavener Funeral services for Arthur W. Heavener, 58, who died unexpectedly unexpect-edly of a cerebral hemorrhage Tuesday noon at a Provo hospital will be conducted Saturday at 1 p. m. in the Fifth LDS ward chapel. chap-el. I Friends maje call at the Claudin funeral home Friday evening from 6 p. m. until 9 p. m., and Saturday Satur-day before the services. Burial will be in the Springville Evergreen Ever-green cemetery. Born in Ludlow, Ky., May 31, 1894, he was a son of James H. and Rose Tedcastle Heavener. He received his education in Kentucky schools, and being keenly interested inter-ested in sports, came west and was signed to play on the Hiawatha baseball team. He was then employed em-ployed as one of the first Carbon county highway patrolmen. Later he went to Bingham, where he met and married Mary Kinnear, May 3, 1916, in Salt Lake City. They moved to Provo and he was employed with the Utah Power and Light Co. His first wife died in 1935 and he married Cleo Pierce of Springville, Spring-ville, June 6, 1942. He was employed em-ployed for a time at the roller mills at Geneva, and at the time of his death was painting foreman at the Utah State hospital. During Mr. Heavener's early life he worked with his father as a property man at theaters in Cin1-cinnati, Cin1-cinnati, and he became personally acquainted with many early - day actors and actresses, including Lillian Russell and John Barry-more.
