Show Interesting Book Review At Club Appropriate and well given was a review of the book, "The Plymouth Adventure," by Ernest Gebler, given by Mrs. E. S. Groesbeck, at the meeting of the Ladies' Literary Liter-ary Club last Thursday evening. eve-ning. Mrs. Eugene Johnson was club hostess, and her son and daughter, Merrill and Ann Johnson, entertained with violin vio-lin music. Mrs. Glen Sumsion, club president, was in charge of the program, and a short business meeting. The book described the journey and landing of the Pilgrims in America and told of their hardships during the first winter. The program was preceded with a nicely arranged luncheon lunch-eon served by the hostess. Her sister, Miss Faye Bearnson, was a special guest, as was Mrs. Virgil Bird. The next meeting of the club was announced for November No-vember 30, to be at the home of Mrs. E. T. Crandall, when Mrs. Rea Straw will give the book, "The Cardinal," by Henry Hen-ry M. Robinson. |
