Ray Fullmer, nee Dolores Smith Newly Wedded Couple Honored Recenily at Lovely Reception Highlighting social events of the week was the marriage and reception recep-tion honoring newlyweds Mr. and Mrs. D. Ray Fullmer, which took place March 31, in the Third-Ninth Third-Ninth ward church. Bishop J. Y. Bearnson of the Fifth ward performed per-formed the ceremony, in the pres- t ence of immediate family members mem-bers and close friends. Mr. Fullmer Full-mer is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Fullmer of Delta. The charming bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. Thomas Smith, is the former Dolores Smith For her wedding she chose a gorgeous Chantilly lace gown with train of silk marquesette. Her finger-tip veil fell from a lace crown and she carried a bridal bouquet of white camellias and cream-colored roses crescent-shape and tied with white satin ribbon. Attending the bride as matron of honor, was her sister, Mrs. Eva Jane Bjarnson, while Wynette Ferre of Provo, Norma Rae Boyer, Floria Murdock and Beverly Bolton Bol-ton of Salt Lake City were bridesmaids. brides-maids. The attendants were attired at-tired in pastel colored formals and wore matching hats. Each held a cresent-shaped bouquet. Elden Fullmer of Delta, brother of the groom was best man and little Linda Kay Bjarnson was train-bearer. In charge of the program was Mr. and Mrs. Fred Smith with Mr. Smith acting as master of ceremonies. cere-monies. Two vocal solos, "I Love You Truly," and "Because," were given by the bride's father, accompanied by Mrs. V. C. Mendenhall. Mrs. Mendenhall also played organ music mu-sic while guests were received. Mrs. Elaine Harknesa entertained enter-tained with volcal selections and Mrs. Huff of Spanish Fork gave readings. A toast to the bride was given by Mrs. Mae Huntington and Coach Stan Watts of the B. Y. U. toasted the groom. Acting as host and hostess during dur-ing the evening were Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Allen and Mr. and Mrs. Bert Smith of Ogden, the latter also taking care -of the guest book. In charge of the gift room were Mrs. Otto Fry and Mrs. Claude Smith, assisted by Mrs. Florice Thomas and Mrs. Irene Ewing. Little Darlene Fullmer and her Cousin assisted with the gifts. Directing the serving were Mrs. Emily Gustavsen, Mrs. Alice Ence, Mrs. Helen Robbins, Mrs. Birdie Thorpe and Mrs. Melva Gottfredson, with Carma Clyde, Helen Ash, Margaret Coffman, Erma Biglow, Marie Averett and Marie Fullmer, serving. Immediately after their reception, recep-tion, the new Mr. and Mrs. Fullmer left on a few days honeymoon to Salt Lake City and Evanston, Wyo. Mr. Fullmer had to report to San Antonio, Texas, air field on April 3 and will leave soon for overseas duty. His bride will remain re-main with him in San Antonio until April 20, his departure date. Dolores is a graduate of the local high school and received a R. N. degree from the Nurses Training school at the LDS hospital. hos-pital. She also attended the University Univer-sity of Utah. She has been employed em-ployed at the Payson hospital. Mr. Fullmer, a graduate and outstanding athlete of the BYU, was a member of the basketball team last year. He has been In the service, serving with the Air Corps since last September. |
