Show Engineers Needed For North Work Hill Air Force Base, Utah Several construction engineers are needed by the Air Force for employment in the far northern areas of Canada and Alaska. These engineers will be engaged on the Distant Early Warning Line that stretches for 3,000 miles within the Arctic Circle. When completed, the line will provide for radar detection of aircraft approaching ap-proaching the United States over the Arctic Circle. Salaries for the engineers begin be-gin at $9,462.50 and $1,237.50 annually, an-nually, including a living differential differ-ential of 25 per cent for the DEW Line area. Colonel J. W. Jackson, the director di-rector of personnel at Hill Air Force Base, has asked interested persons to contact his office, since applications can be accepted locally. |
