Show Townspeople Take Big Part in Livestock Show Springville FFA boys won their share of awards and prize money at the Junior Livestock show held in Spanish Fork, reports indicate. Also their chapter queen. Kay Whitney, who look slate honors, was also proudly presented at the show. The high school band also made a fine showing in the stock-show stock-show parade. Don Phillips won first place In fitting and showmanship with Russell Williams taking fourth. Frank Carnesecca received a choice rating on his fat steer and Boyd Halverson had a prime fat hag. The young people were not the only ones commended for their part in the show. The Springville Banking Co., donated a calf for the scramble which was one of the highlights of the weekend event. Thanks and .appreciation also went to nine other Springville business bus-iness houses for the purchases they made from the fine show, including includ-ing Valley Packing Co., Foodliner, Ray Cope, LeMar's Cafe, Cragun Market, Safeway Store, and Herb Miner. |
