Turner and a group of his students from the BYU will show water-colors of a recent trip through scenic Southern South-ern Utah and Arizona. The exhibit will also be open through the week following during school hours. At 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, a special spec-ial program is planned in connection connec-tion with the exhibit with the showing of colored slides taken on the trip and a description of the trip told by members who participated. partici-pated. Carl Vincenti, an Indian student, and Ernel Anderson, a missionary to the Hopi Indians, will speak of the trip dressed in authentic costumes and will give several Indian dance numbers and songs. . A wide-screen color movie (.Vistascope) made by Prof. Turner, Tur-ner, will also be featured on the program. The water-color sketches, painted paint-ed along the trip will be of Dead Horse Point, The Arches, Along the Gorge of the Colorado River, Bluff, Monument Valley, Canyon de Chelley, Walpi, and Moonkopi, the latter two Hopi Indian villages vil-lages in northern Arizona, by upper up-per division and graduate students of water-color, Franz Johansen, Maynard Gunter, LaVar Steel, J. D. Scott, Ernel Anderson, Carl Vincenti, Bryon Strawn, Peter Meyer. Making the trip also with the students and Prof. Turner was Wilford Wil-ford Manwaring of Springville who did the cooking and made a color-slide record of the journey. Prof. Turner said the field trip gave the students an opportunity to get enriched experiences in water-color painting with basic color schemes unobtainable in Utah valley val-ley area.
