Show Mr. and Mrs. Chris M. Sorensen have returned from an enjoyable trip to California where they visited vis-ited a daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Edward R. Anderson and family at Watsonville. They went in company with Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Hatch, who visited their daughter Arlene and family at San Jose. Jimmy Jordan, 7, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Jordan has been in the LDS hospital, Salt Lake City, for X-rays and observation. Mr. and Mrs. Orvillo Swanson and family recently attended a family reunion at Schofield. Others attending were Mrs. Swan-son's Swan-son's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Howlett of Price; also Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Howlett of Provo and Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Nation and two children of Torrance, California, Cal-ifornia, who have been spending three weeks at the Swanson home in Springville. Carlyle Ollerton is convalescing from a recent operation for appendicitis ap-pendicitis which he underwent recently re-cently at the LDS Utah Valley Hospital, Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Bingham returned re-turned home recently from Washington, Wash-ington, D.C., where he went to attend the senate hearing on the Ecko Park Project. Enroute, they stopped at Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to visit Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hag-lund Hag-lund and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Winston and families formerly of Springville. The day after their return the Binghams took their baby son Douglas to the Utah Valley hospital where he was confined con-fined with a lung infection. He is now reported recovering. Among the former residents to return to Springville for the 4th of July holidays are Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Bulkley of Maywood, Calif., who have been visiting relatives and friends here and in Provo and Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Weenig (Georgia Harmer) have recently moved from Ogden to Boise, Ida., where Mr. Weenig operates a grocery gro-cery and meat business. |
