Show F. F. A. TEAMS ARE SELECTED Two stock judging teams have been selected to represent the Springville chapter of Future Farmers in the contests at the state F. F. A. convention at Logan next week, Instructor W. H. Anderson An-derson announces. The teams are composed of Ruel Crandall, Keith Boyer, and Jim Alleman, livestock; Donald Bird, Kent Palfrcyman and DcVere Weight, dairy. The boys expect to leave next Sunday for the convention city. During this week in company with Mr. Anderson who will also accompany ac-company them to Logan, the teams will visit the larger herds in Heber City. Charleston and Walls-burg, Walls-burg, for experience in judging. Ruel Crandall and Keith Boyer will be nominated at the convention conven-tion to receive the state farmer degree based on merit. The boys have met all qualifications, including includ-ing among others, the completion of three years of agriculture project proj-ect work'; to serve as an F. F. A. officer; to make the iudrlnir or public speaking team; to attain a high scholastic standing: to attain financial success with their agriculture agri-culture projects and many other merits. Only two other boys from the local chapter have qualified for the honor Bert Cherrington and Leslie Bcardall who received the award last year. Accompanying the judging teams to the convention besides Mr. Anderson, will also be the vice president of the local chapter. Jay Nielson and one other member, who will act as official delegates. |
