Miss Marian Smart has just returned from a two weeks visit with relatives and friends in Los Angeles, Calif. Miss Delphia Dallin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Dallin of Long. Beach, Calif., is vacationing with her grandmother, Mrs. Julia Dallin Dal-lin in this city. Announcement is made of the marriage of Miss Theora Tuttle, 1 daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lamar Tuttle of this city, to Ray Peterson, Peter-son, son of Bishop and Mrs. A.i G. Peterson also of Springville. Harrison Conover, manager of the Springville Herald, and Mrs. Conover left last Friday in company com-pany with Mr. and Mrs. Levi I Reynolds of Provo on a two weeks ' vacation trip, to the northwest and down the west coast through California. j ! Mrs. Fred Clyde recently returned return-ed to her home here from a hos- ; pital in Salt Lake City where she underwent an operation for ap-i pendicitis. The Nita Nelta 4-H club' of the Second ward had a party at the home of Miss Eileen Huntington. Hunt-ington. Games were played and dainty lunch was served. The following fol-lowing were present: Mrs. Eva Hindmarsh, leader; Miss Dorothy Johnson, Miss Ethelyn Hindmarsh, Shirley Reynolds, Miss La Von Reynolds and Eileen Huntington. The next club meeting will be Tuesday at the home of Mrs. Eva Hindmarsh. Springville Legion auxiliary presented a well arranged program pro-gram at a meeting of the Payson unit Monday night, at Payson. Mrs. Lela Packard gave- two vocal solos; and Miss Geraldine Eggert-son Eggert-son gave a 3-act play, "The Rock." Accompanying the people peo-ple on the program were Mrs. Vi-late Vi-late Reynolds, chairman of the program. President Bell Sumsion and Mrs. Mary Witney. Mr. and ' Mrs. Ford Crandall and children of Boise, Ida., plan to return to their home after two weeks Visit with Mr. and Mrs. D. A. Crandall and other relatives here and at Provo. A number of friends enjoyed a picnic lunch and swim at Cas-tella Cas-tella Tuesday afternoon. Included in the group were Mrs. Retta Kelley, Mrs. Lillie Hume. Mrs. Muriel Robertson, Mrs. Gertrude Clements and Mrs. Ua Cranmer and their children. In honor of Mrs. Edgar S. Best, formerly Luell Straw who was recently wed, the officers and teachers of the First ward M.I. A. entertained at a social in the amusement hall last Thursday night. A delightful time was spent with games and a tasty lunch. Approximately 35 M. I. A. workers were in attendance. The guest of honor was presented with a lovely gift. Miss Golda Siler and Miss Ar-lene Ar-lene Clements of Eureka have visited the past week with Miss Pern Ostler in this city. Mrs. Zina Hall of Smithf ield has spent the past week in Springville, the guest of Mrs. John R. Kindred Kin-dred and family and other relatives and friends here. Bcrgis Sumsion has returned from a several weeks visit with his sister, Mrs. Melvin Dalby and family at Oakland, Calif. Arthur Reynolds of California, a former resident of this city has been visiting here the past few days. Members of the Aaronic priesthood priest-hood of the First ward will be entertained at a nouting Saturday, at the Hot Pots. All are asked to meet at the chapel a 3 p. m. Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Blackett with Mr. and Mis. Foster Anthon of Provo have just returned from a vacation trip to Yellowstone National park. They returned by way of the Teton National forest and at Logan were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Burton Hair, former for-mer residents of Provo. The 4-H Anchor club of the Fourth ward with Mrs. Estella Ollcrton as supervisor went on a 4-day trip to the Manti National forest ranger station last week. While there the girls went hiking Ni places of interest, roae horse back and went boat riding. The last evening was spent toasting marshmallows and learning old fashioned dances. A good time was had by all. Included in the party were: Ileen Cook, Hazel Angus, Eve Nielson, Fern Harrison and Lucy OUerton. Lucille Lu-cille Miller was unable to go on account of illness. Mrs. Melva Smith of Salt Lake City, is spending the week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Sanford and other relatives and friends here. Members of the Senior and Gleaner classes of the Second ward M. I. A. were delightfully entertained Tuesday night, at the home of Miss Mina Crandall. Assisting As-sisting hostesses were Miss Cleon Fox, Miss Lois Tippetts, Mrs. Eva Crandall, Mrs. Mack Crandall and Miss Deon Caffall. An especially enjoyable program was given with a 3-act play, "The Circle," by W. j Sumerset Maughn, given by Mrs.i Jessie Dalton and piano music I by Mrs. Bell Thomas and Miss Barbara Gudmundsen. Group singing was led by Miss Alzada Wilmott. Besides the host-cases, host-cases, in attendance were Miss Dona Salisbury, Mrs. Jessie Whitney, Whit-ney, Mrs. Bell Thomas, as special guests and the following members, Hortense Crandall, Marian Miner, Lula Hatch, Barbara Gudmundsen, Avis Thompson. Harriet Miner, Fern Nelson, Lois Rigtrup, Marie Rigtrup, Rowena Rigtrup, Elaine Crandall, . Marie Simkins, Wanda Stewart, Mabel F. Hansen, Mary S. Boyer, Alzada Wilmott, Jeanette Jean-ette Crandall, Virginia Simkins, Jessie ' Dalton, Margaret Fox, Madelyn Harrison. The group will I meet next Tuesday at the home of Marie Simkins, where a splendid program will be given. Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Croft and sons Billie and Maurice and daughter Marilyn of Los Angeles, Calif., nave reiurnea to their home after a two weeks visit with Mrs. Croft's sister, Mrs. Roy Cates and family in this city, and with other relatives and i friends. They were accompanied i home by Miss Clarice Cates who ! will visit in Los Angeles, for several sev-eral weeks. Of interest to his friends here is the marriage of Lieutenant Dallin Southworth formerly " of this city, to Mary Barnes of Casper, Cas-per, Wyo., which took place in Ogden Og-den last Monday.
