Show I Snrinville Lawyer lie Library Seeks Nomination For County Position Announcement is made that Arnold Ar-nold C. Koylance, Springville at-torney, at-torney, will be a candidate for the nomination as Utah county attorney at the coming Democratic Demo-cratic county convention. Mr. Roylance was born in Springville where he entered the public schools. As a result of two separate accidents he lost the sight in both eyes and shortly after this entered the school for the blind at Ogden. After attending at-tending the Ogden school six years he entered the Springville high school, and was graduated four years later. He then entered the Brigham Young university and was graduated from this school with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1927. After graduation from the H. Y. U. he taught in the history department of the Springville high ' school two years leaving this position posi-tion to enter the law school at , the University of Utah. He graduated grad-uated from the university in 1H32 and was admitted to the bar the same year, it being the first instance in-stance in the history of Utah that a blind lawyer had been admitted ' to the bar. He has built a successful private practice at Springville and during the past three years has acted as city attorney for the city of Springville and the town of Mapleton, as well as legal adviser for the Utah County Drainage district No. 1. |
