Show KIWANIS MUSIC PROGRAM SET The Kiwanis club meeting Thursday night, is under the direction di-rection of Wallace Martin of the nigh school music department, and will feature a musical program. President G. Lowry Anderson will be in charge, with Mr. Martin rcting as toastmaster. The meeting last Thursday night, featured an elk banquet given by the losers of a recent attendance contest. David Friel, captain of the losing team, acted as toastmaster, 'Merle Sargent .leaded the winners. An especially enjoyable phase Jf the program was a talk on the .mportance of preserving wild life n Utah, given by William Witnev. superintendent of the state fish and game farm. A representative from the state road commission ilso told of the improvements now going on along the highway between Springville and Provo in the form of tree and shrub planting. plant-ing. Piano selections were furnished furn-ished by Bobbie Jenkins. The elk for the banquet was con, tributed by C. O. Claudin, J. F. Wingate and Roy Despain. The club's annual Christmas party for the children is scheduled to be held Wednesday, December 23, at Memorial hall. |
