Show SOCIETY NVS Miss Louise Bird accompanied by her parents, Mr. and Mis. Ellis Bird left Wednesday for Milford where she will join her uncle, Lawrence Bird and family and go to Los Angeles, Calif, for a visit. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Blanchard and little daughter Mary Lou of Denver, Colo., have returned to their home after a 12 days visit with relatives and friends here. Miss Carol Winters of Salt Lake City, is the house guest of Miss Gertrude Ann Welch: Complimentary Com-plimentary to the visitor a number of entertainments have been planned plan-ned for the near future. Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Condie ; and baby, of Afton, Wyo., visited i a short time with the former's I parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Condie I in this city, on Thursday. . Mr. and Mrs. Nephi Leyshon and children of Salt Lake City, spent the week-end with relatives and friends here. - - ' Mrs. Robert Johnstone of Man-hatten, Man-hatten, Kansas, is visiting at the home of her brother, W. L. Grooms in this city. The Nita Netta 4-H club of the Second ward spent a very enjoyable en-joyable time at Aspen grove where they went for the annual Timp hike and program. The following made the hike to the top of Mt. Timp. Mrs. Eva H i nd marsh leader, Dorothy Johnson, Ethelyn Hindmarsh and Eileen Huntington. Hunting-ton. The girls spent Sunday noon at the new mutual home in North Fork. ; Mr. and Mis. Wayne Johnson and daughter Nelda and grandson Bobby Dalton left early this week on a vacation trip to Fish lake and the Wayne wonderland. Mr. and Mrs. Clair Johnson and family of Provo, are also spending the week at Fish Lake vicinity. . Mr. and Mrs. Leonard "Dick 1 Bell and baby of Los Angeles, j Calif, have returned to their home ' after several days visit with the ; former's sister, Mrs. Bill Alleman and family here. In honor of Mr. and Mrs. Bell, Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Whitney entertained at dinner, din-ner, at their, home on Tuesday. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Bell and Mr. and Mrs. Alleman and members of the Whitney family. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Perry and children of Springville have just returned from an enjoyable trip to Yellowstone National park. En-route En-route they visited friends and relatives. Members of the Friendship Circle were guests of Mrs. Wilda Oakley at her home Thursday evening. Cards featured the entertainment enter-tainment with high score prizes for the games won by Mrs. Aleen Lopez and Mrs. Madge Clyde, the latter being a guest. A dainty and tasty luncheon was served to the following: Mrs. Norma Oakley, Oak-ley, Mrs. Norma Holmes, Mrs. Orlynn Ash, Mrs. Grace Richmond, Rich-mond, Mrs. Alice Ence, Mrs. Margaret Mar-garet Wing, Mrs. Alcen Lopez, Mrs. Madge Clyde, Mrs. Marie, Stone, Mrs. Clarice Danielson, Mrs. Minerva Weight, and Mrs. Marva Averett. Mrs. Will Oakley of San Francisco, Fran-cisco, Calif., spent the forepart of the week with relatives and friends here. She has spent the past six weeks with relatives in Provo and Salt Lake City. Miss Lucy Roylance and Miss Olive Childs left Wednesday morning mor-ning for a vacation trip to Los Angeles and Long Beach, Calif., They will be gone two weeks. Mrs. T. O. Hutchings and daughter Fern recently returned from Ogden where they attended 'the Pioneer's days celebration as guests of Mrs. Hutchings daughters, daugh-ters, Mrs. J. C. Pepcorn and family and Mrs. C. R. McDonald of Evanston, Wyo. While in Ogden Mrs. Hutchings and daughter were guests at a rodeo party given by Mrs. Pepcorn in celebration of her mothers birthday. Mrs. Pepcorn and Mrs. John Ross also entertained enter-tained at a swimming party at Como Springs during Mrs. Hutch-ing's Hutch-ing's visit. Miss Delphia Dallin, daughter of Mr: and Mrs. Glenn Dallin of Long Beach, Calif., is spending several weeks' vacation with her grandmother, Mrs. Julia Dallin in this city. Mrs. Arvil Bird and children recently re-cently returned from several days vacation at Mountain Air can von. with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Lambert of Salt Lake City. She was accompanied home by her brother Charles who will visit here. Eugene Johnson recently came from Evanston, Wyo., and visited his parents Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Johnson in this city and other relatives at Heber. Mr. and Mrs. J. X. Gardner and son of Springville spent the fore part of the week at Montecello. A reunion of members of the G. S. Condie family was held Saturday afternoon, at Schneit-ter's Schneit-ter's Hot pots. Swimming, social chat and picnic lunch were en-, joyable features with the following follow-ing present: Mrs. Mae Crandall, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Condie, Mrs. Lena Maycock, &'.. and Mrs. Kenneth Ken-neth Condie, and families, Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Packard of Provo, and Mr. and Mrs. Harvard Osmund Os-mund and family of Washington D. C. Mrs. E. A. Compton and daughter daugh-ter Jean of Los Angeles, Calif., are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. M. W. Bird. In compliment to the employees of the W. R. Eddington canning company Mr. Eddington entertained enter-tained at a canyon party at Sul-pher Sul-pher Springs, in Hobble Creek canyon Wednesday night. Ball games, horse-shoe pitching, and other sports were enjoyed together to-gether with a delicious lunch. Approximately Ap-proximately 85 guests were in attendance. at-tendance. A number of friends chaperoned by Mrs. Lawrence Clark spent three days of the past week at Brighton canyon. Included in the group were Miss Barbara Black, Miss Janis Clark, Miss Lucille Sumsion, Miss Klell Case, Miss Marjorie Clark, Miss Isabell Leslie. Les-lie. The girls hiked to places of interest throughout the canyon. Mrs. Dimick Huntington and daughter Olive, were guests Sunday Sun-day and Monday, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Rude Peterson at Logan. A very enjoyable time was had at a surprise party on Fred Huntington celebrating his sixth birthday. Games, program and a dainty lunch was served to the following: Freddie Clark, Barney Grogadie, Pauline Boyer, Joyce Harmer, Fred Hansen, Floyd Tut-tle, Tut-tle, Ruth Hafen, Norma Sumsion, Dan, Gale and Owen Barthola-mew, Barthola-mew, Fred, Donna, Helen and Eileen Huntington.
