Show Local , Glenn Holley of Mapieton, left Monday for Denver, Colo., to attend at-tend a convention of the National Underwriters' association this week. Mr. Holley qualified for the trip by an immense amount of business which he wrote for the company since the first of the year. Mrs. Christian Jensen of the B. Y. U., Provo, gave an interesting inter-esting taik on the Early Greek Theaters, before members of the Little Theater group of this city, at the high school Tuesday night. The meeting was under direction of Howard McKenzie, in charge of the little theater movement. A contract to construct more than 11 miles of road from upper Moab valley to Blue Hill summit sum-mit near Moab, was awarded to W. W. Ciyde and company, local contractors, recently. Clyde was low bidder with $98,631 for the project, the total cost of which, with contengencies, will be $108,-494. $108,-494. The work will begin soon. A noticeable improvement was recently completed at Kolob Lumber company with a marked enlargement of the office and display space in the front of the building. Improved facilities for the showing of merchandise, and the accommodations of customers, custom-ers, were effected by the remodeling. remodel-ing. The lumber company building build-ing was also repainted. An invitation in-vitation is extended to the public to call and inspect the enlarged apartments, which offer a still larger and more complete line of lumber and other bulding materials. |
