In I ho afternoon at 2:30, all groups and group leaders will meet in College hall for discussions on "Education and Social Change.'' Famed Educators Open Pane! Study The first panel discussion in Brigham Younp university's summer sum-mer study conference on education educa-tion was held in College hall this afternoon by a group of distinguished distin-guished educators under the chairmanship chair-manship of Dr. C. A. Lambert, dean of the summer session. Dr. William Herd Kilpatrick, professor of education from Teachers Teach-ers college Columbia university, led the discussion on, "How can the Education i'n Utah school districts dis-tricts be improved? In the panel were J. C. Moffitt, superintendent of Provo city schools, E. O. Mel-by Mel-by of Northwestern university school of education. Owen Bar-nett, Bar-nett, superintendent of Nebo school district, C. Ostland, superintendent of Wasatch county school district, and Leo Hansen, supervisor of Alpine school district. This evening at 8 o'clock, in College hall, Dr. Killpatrick will give the first of a series of public lectures on a significant educational educa-tional theme. Tomorrow's program of the education edu-cation conference includes a meeting meet-ing by Dr. Kilpatrick with the education faculty and conference members of B. Y. U. at 8:30 a. m. and group sessions from 9:30 to 11:30 a. m. The groups will meet as follows: Secondary Education in room 250C, Upper Elementary |
