Show 5000 TROOPS DROWNED IN CHINA RIVER SHANGHAI, June 14 (U.R) Chinese military dispatches asserted today that 5,000 Japanese Jap-anese troops had been drowned drown-ed in Yellow river flood waters, wa-ters, that 7,000 more were trapped and that gigantic quantities of war munitions were Inundated. According to these dispatches, j at leant 5,000 Japanese were overwhelmed when the Paishah sector along the central front-was front-was buried under 30 feet of water. The city, on the east-west Lun-Hai railroad, had a population of 200,000. Dispatches from Chinese portions por-tions of the central front asserted as-serted that the floods had completely com-pletely stopped the Japanese drive in the Chengchow sector at the junction point of the Lung-ing-Hankow railroad.
