Show pedestrian cross-walk when they were hit by a car driven toy James H. Cowley, 18. Cowley told investigating officers offi-cers that Miss Mitchell and Miss Evans walked into the street from behind a parked car and he did not see them in time to avoid striking them. Cowley was arrested arrest-ed and booked on charges of failing fail-ing to keep on the right side of the road and failing to yield the right of way to pedestrians. Miss Mitchell, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Mitchell of Salit Lake City, was a native of Riverton, Utah. Miss Evans was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Evans and had resided in Salt Lake City all her lite. TWO GIRLS KILLED ON S.L. STREET SALT LAKE CITY, June 14 (U.R) Two young Salt Lake City girls died today as the result of injuries received when they were struck by an automobile as they walked, arm in arm, across a residential resi-dential street. The victims were Beth Mitchell, 15, and Shirley Evans, 17. .
